Okay, if all Zirreh is doing is picking up feelings, then Eighis' shield should be able to block it out completely. Just like how it blocks out Komesh's empathy thing. Basically, if it can count as a form of mind-reading (or, in this case, feeling-reading) then Eighis should be able to block it out. Control and effort aren't factors here. This is a guy who can block mind-control and telepathy if he has his shield up. If Zirreh were to read someone who has red feelings toward Eighis, he would certainly be able to read that.

Although I should mention that his shield isn't up all the time. He has to actively turn it on and keeping it up for long periods of time puts some strain on him. He usually doesn't bother unless he has a good reason. Like psychic FLARPers. Or Horrorterrors. But when it is up, it doesn't leak. And if it does, it breaks.
